Summer Palace. Idyllic, sprawling complex of temples, pavilions, the marble boat, and the 728 yard Long Corridor. Boat ride on Kunming Lake.

On to lunch before heading to the airport for our
flight to Xian. Our flight departs Beijing at 3:35 pm. We will arrive in Xian at 5:25 pm.

We are met at the airport by our driver and guide Ambrosia. We collect our baggage and are on our way to our hotel for the 2 nights.
Jinshi International Hotel. Our original itinerary had us staying at Xian Goldstone Hotel. We have dinner at the hotel restaurant. Then I relax with a long soak/bubble bath. Tomorrow we will start our sightseeing of Xian. Xian is located in the Yellow River basin in China's heartland and is one of the birthplaces of civilization. It has seen 3100 years of development and 11 dynasties.
