Another lovely day. Up to catch the end of sunrise. Our hotel has a great location-very picturesque. Breakfast at our hotel.

Today's sightseeing starts with our drive north to
Long Sheng/Dragon Spine Rice Terraces. The scenery is breathtaking. We get to the entry point and then continue to walk. A lot of hiking up the path and steps. About midway up there is a resting area. Here there are available men who will carry you up to the top in sedan chairs carried by a couple of men. Frank decides he doesn't want to continue to the top and will wait for us here. The rest of us trudge up, up, and up. We finally make it but it wasn't easy! We have
lunch here at the top. One of our treats are bamboo poles when split reveal rice. It was yummy. The Yao minority people who live here have lovely giftware for sale. Dolls, purses. The way down is easier and we soon are reunited with Frank. We drive back to Guilin.

Our next sightseeing stop is
Elephant Trunk Hill. Called this because it looks like an elephant taking a drink of water from the Li River. Dinner. Then some free time. Maybe we were able to swim in the hotel's pool??
Then dinner and back to our hotel. It's been a long day.
